Sep 30, 2020Yes, many of us find it easier to advice someone regarding their problems but have a hard time when the βsomeoneβ is us. It's because while giving an advice, we simulate the situation and put ourselves in it, thinking of all the possible actions and consequences, we do it while enjoying a privileged position of emotional disengagement. It's easier to think of the solutions when there's no βinside forceβ nagging about how bad the problem is or will become. Whereas, when stuck in a problem, we focus on the problem, trying to understand it to it's depth rather than thinking of the solutions. We kinda accept the problem and overthink about the impact it will have on our lives. Then how do we solve problems on our own?? The approach really matters when it comes to dealing with a problem. The passive and thoughtful approach will let the situation sink in and produce efficient solutions. Although, quick reflexive approach may turn out to be good enough to tackle a problem but the hurried decision may just not be the right on suiting the situation. | Man, Look at me trying to look intelligent while I have tons of problems I couldn't solve on my ownπ |
