Recently, I was having a conversation with a gentleman and the topic of what each of us could bring into a possible relationship. I told him that I had my own, so didn't need yours and that if we're together exclusively, just know that I don't need you, I want you. He then told me that it was very emasculating to tell any man that he's not needed and that my independent alpha female attitude is the real reason I'm single, which by the way is so far from the truth instead I chose to be single rather than lower my standards and settle for anything less. I WANT a man for companionship, friendship, intimacy and everything in between. So,guys what are your thoughts on the whole alpha female mentality? Is it true that men are turned off by women like me or is emasculated in some way?
