I also had the same experience except the growing over the earring because i hv been taking care of it by doing 'salt water' Just put a small amount of salt in a water then deep it with cotton ena apply it on the piercing area twice a day mnamn constantly. Try to avoid touching ur ears or earrings ena don't change ur earring for min 20 days
