Can anyone explain to me the basic difference between learning medicine and HO?... in terms of the education itself
Sep 23, 20201st the year difference, medicine is 6 and half years and HO is 4 years long. 2nd in both medicine and HO you take same courses but the workload is lower in HO, for example both med and HO students take anatomy. For med students the anatomy is regional, it takes longer time, with oral and written exams. But for HO bzu bota it's systemic, shorter time, less bulky and only written exam is taken. 3rd. On the clinical courses, med students are taught by seniors and HO students are taught by GPs. plus HOs have some community studies. so generally HO is easier than Med but not a preferable field of study.
