I'm a 4th year medicine student (C1). After I got into medicine I develop hate towards it, I mean I love and respect the profession but the hard work is so extreme and usually it leads me to depression and anxiety. I feel like these tons of hard work is not worth it. I have an interest on other professions like archtecture, so do you guys think I should finish what I have started or just follow my dream and become an architect? Help me out pls... Thanks in advance.
Sep 22, 2020Oh My o My! Tbh i have No advice for you cause I am no Med student. I was actually looking for someone elses advise... Someone who is frustrated by medicine, someone like you. I am thinking of Joining Medicine. I'm Gonna take Matric this year. I became fascinated with it during the Corona Outbreak. While sitting at home, I read different anatomical and psychological books which fascinated me. I am not worried about the stress. I am barely stressed doing many things at once. Plus I am very good at My academics, despite not paying attention at any class, ( I study and take tests, I find teachers explanation dull) The thing is I really want to know what it means to be a medical student? I heard all about the late night studies and huge books. But why do students hate med after they get in? Is it because of the huge materials or is it that they get into it without any interest or prior knowledge? And what does it take to be a really good student at Med school. I value your opinion You Can Pm me.
