Why is the men from "RAYA QOBO" dress similarly to that of the "AFAR PEOPLE"? Do they inherit the same cultural background or something like that? And also, are the RAYA PEOPLE TIGRE'S? or OROMOS please?

Sep 14, 2019you just raised an important contradiction (out of the thousands in it) within our ethnic federalism. Where to categorize the ppl with different ethnicities combined? What do I mean?....let me explain Technically the ppl of Raya are a combination 4 different ethnicities, those are Oromo (interestingly Raya has no meaning in the rest of the ethincities but it means soldier if oromiffa), Amhara, Tigraway and Afar. The ppl have been mixed for thousand of years, so they have similar (if not completely the same) culture and cultural backgrounds. So until very recently it wasn't uncommon to see a guy named Merdasa or Hadush speaking in Afar or Amharic in Raya. So they have similar clothing style with Wollo (another contradiction with-in our ethnic federalism), Afar, Kereyu Oromo. Interestingly until the EPDRF, the entirity of what is now Somale, Afar and Easter Oromia was name Hararge
