Ofcourse. The more we watch western culture the more we want to be like them. By repetitively showing you things they normalize them to the sense that it is ok and make us feel likeour culture is backwards and lame. All countries with their own cultures like ours struggle with the same thing too. But we can't help it we are drawn to theirs.

Your mind is built to be programmed or more accurately put to recognise patterns and build personlity and decision making skills so any where you go you get programmed by what you see and do,thats how it works. Second- to an extent yes but i believe the so called brainwashing is to mak tge perfect consumers of goods not to think but to buy. I mean you'd be brainwashed anyway. So the best way is actually to try them all and know what's actually the good one for yourself. Because you can't possibly say we have the perfect culture and practice, so you can watch not just western but even far eastern movies and take what you like about them, take what makes sense to you from western movies and take what you thing is best from ours. Otherwise if you're just blindly worried of being brainwashed and not watch western movies then it means you're brainwashed by those who say we have the perfect culture and practices. So my final thoughts are nobody is stealing your mind, and nobody can. You are just starting to think better as you see the world from different perspectives. So be open minded, and judge for yourself and if some of the western culture and ideology makes sense to you then take it, if some of it don't, then leave that part. But realize that nothing is perfect.
