Melody is the catchy one... u have to love the melody to listen to the music first of all... rap and recommended musics aside malet... then u get to notice and love the lyrics... so back to the question😂... for me its melody... i have fav musics which i hv no idea what they are about😂😂

I believe They both go hand in hand cuz it's the lyrics that gives more appeal to melody and vice versa

melody of course music is an international language look at edm it doesn't have much lyric but its getting really popular plus the world listen to despacito not b/se of the lyrica but the melody.

I think it depends on the quality of the song and your taste in music. I used to love melody when I was younger and didn't care much about the lyrics, but as I aged my taste kinda shifted to lyrics. I don't usually listen to z melody based ones no more, unless it's like super awesome🙌.
