Any lawyers here? The thing is my company hired foreman to handle some construction work and he hired a daily laborer which the company pays on daily basis and upon work done without any contractual agreement. So, my question is will the company be liable for insurance in case we encounter some work place accident? Please its urgent and don't replay if you r not licensed lawyer.
Apr 24, 2022Law student here but I can give you a hint since no one hasn't replied yet. The company will be liable for any accident that happened at work place. The law presumes that since the company is beneficial from the work done it should also incur the loss. Or that goal here is that to fasten the transaction process in compensating the victim, the company will be liable since it has a deeper pocket than the laborer. However the company can claim the compensation from the guy after.
