I have packages installed with npm globally and i don't get internet that often so i want to npm install(use) packages that i installed before into my project without connecting to internet. Is that possible?
Sep 13, 2020I think it is possible to do that with NPM, but maybe look into Yarn. It had this feature ever since it was launched.

Sep 13, 2020If you're using npm all you have to do is copy paste your node module folder into your new project folder then it should works fine. If it's for global package you can get the location of node modules by running "npm config get prefix". If it's a global package just run npm install and it's should work bcoz npm checks locally first before connecting to the internet...(test this one I didn't test it )
Sep 13, 2020theres some configuration you have to do for npm. search for “npm cache”. it’s easy with yarn tho. yarn automatically store caches in ‘~/.cache/yarn’ folder so all you’ve to do is add “—offline” flag when you’re offline. example “yarn add express —offline”.
