Apr 16, 2022If you want the current conflict of ethnic identities to stop our country needs to adopt the culture of taking care of individual rights and liberties. The problem we have now is the focus of all our politics, social and cultural norms is to provide rights and protections for group identities. Look at how our systems work? they are set in place to help aid a certain group of people. That is where our problem lies. We have to stop looking at people behind the lenses of group identities and rather start looking at them individually. When I say this I don't mean group identities should not exist and I don't think even if I supported that it would be possible to make them disappear. I am saying our focus should change. Our laws should change and our culture should change to focusing on individuals.
