I think you got short sight, I'm not sure it happens in only one eye tho. I have it on both of my eyes I wear sight glass. So if u go to eye care center or optical clinic and checks your eyes they will probably order you to buy a sight glass which are suitable for ur eyes. And that might help you to read and learn whatever u want.

I don't know about the criteria that your university got for medicien related fields but we were diagnosed or got a full check up (especially our eyes and ears) before we took the entrance exam to join medical school. In my view I don't think that will hold you back from achieving your goal, but it's better if you started thinking how you can defend your self, and persuade them to think you can do it.
