She is being good in her own way although she know she should be better on the flaws you mentioned she have, maybe this is her trying her best... Maybe she had it rough... She is your mother and like u say she shows you love, she is counting on you to be the better person without expecting everything from her... We respect our parents but we should look up to god. Your mom is good, she loves you... Which means she want all that's best for you... You don't gotta accept every thing she say... She didn't raise a robot, she raised you and send you out to the world so that you can see things clearer ,... You are just like a hatching eggs compared to your mom and your path is different from your mom's... Don't get influenced in the bad, learn all the beauty and teach her too, or else one day your child will ask the same question you just asked us. Just because we love someone it doesn't mean we should accept everything about them. The same way god love us but don't agree with our sins.

She treats us like pets not like human beings, she only gives us attention when we have to eat or are sick. I think her big problem is that she has extremely low emotional intelligence. It's unfortunate, maybe it's her nature maybe life turned her that way, but everyone is responsible to overcome their disabilities you know, so living comfortably with your disability when you can do something about it is being irresponsible.
