I just heard aba Geda is going to be given in schools now. I sincerely thought it was a good idea. I respected the way the system handled conflicts. But not everyone is happy about it. People told me the system is sexist towards women and stuff. So my question is, is this true? I have no idea about it. So can anyone please explain

Plus any system we are taught right now was at some point racist and sexist as well. So IMO learning the Geda system will help us see the brilliant social and political hierarchy of the time.

And Additionally, in those place where this system still getting processed are explained as the safest part in Ethiopia by tourist coz of strict rule about human right. Especially, the castration one you mentioned is STRICTLY prohibited and it has been one of criticism of Oromos against Aba Jifar. Truly, only 40+ male can be Aba Geda but there are also Hadha Sinqe for women which is almost equivalent to Aba Geda and also she has an Executive power more than Aba Gedas and his cabinet. +, male can't ordain someone to throne(balli) of Aba Geda. No one in Africa have a democratic system like that just like we should be proud to be the only country with our own alphabet we also should be proud of having geda system... Sinqee gives power for woman to make the same judgment as Aba Gedas. But the matter of decisions differ. Example they won't be involved in military or war strategy . Imagine it was applicable 1000 years ago.
