What's your take on freedom of speech, should it be completely free(unless it's a call for action) or should there be some kind of censorship?
Aug 07, 2020Freeorom of speech should be given to everybody and not be censored unless you pose a direct not indirect threat on people. Its also one of our country's biggest problems cause the only one who can have freedom of speech is the government.
Aug 07, 2020is there anyway you were or anyone u know restricted of speaking?
Aug 07, 2020Freedom of speech shouldn't be censored. But also there is a boundary at which freedom of speech to some might be a hate speech to others. This is the case in our country these days. Identifying that boundary is not an easy task, specially in counties like Ethiopia where you have such a diverse population.
Aug 07, 2020Freedom of speech without limit shall be given to the people. But it has to be deserved, first! There has to be ethically developed society, that's to whom the freedom is deserved be given to.
Aug 07, 2020what is the criteria to be labeled as ethically developed? and who will grant that label?
Aug 07, 2020There should always be some sort of censorship. There will never be a fixed limit since times change, but we have to work on setting the limit everytime.
Aug 07, 2020who decides the limits?
Aug 07, 2020That's solution for Africa a democracy, freedom of speech can be regulated with rule of law, with strong check and balance system that run by independent institutions. In our country case they want to give this right for certain groups that's the problem

Aug 07, 2020I personally freedom of speech should be without limit and everyone should have the right exercise that, but that takes time to be able to handle the consequences that brings in the society, people first should have a waken sense of democracy
