Do you know how insignificant human life is on the larger scale of things? 5 major extinctions have taken place till now. The 5th, being the Permian extinction, wiped out 97% of all living life forms. Every single being that exists now can be traced to the surviving 3%. We're nearly at the 2°C mark, beyond which life would be nearly impossible. Every species has its heyday, I fear ours has gone past. An end is inevitable, and quite frankly other species will be the better for it.
