Hey! I’m quarantined with my cousins (all guys) ena all they talk about is football and I wanna know everything about it malet not about the ball mnamn ofc gn about Laliga..champions league...I keep hearing them and everything related to that. Anybody who has time educate me. Asking them ain’t an option, I’ve tried!
Aug 03, 2020More or less every country has their own “league”. EPL or the English Premier League is the official league of the top teams from England and La Liga is the official league of the top teams from Spain. you have 20 teams in a particular league , each of the 20 teams will have a match with the rest of the teams in the league twice (e.g. Manchester United, a team in the Premier League, will have to compete with the rest of the 19 teams twice) once at the stadium they call their own and once at the opponent’s stadium (e.g. Manchester United vs Arsenal will happen once at Manchester United’s stadium, the Old Trafford in front of majority of their supporters and once at Arsenal’s Emirates stadium, in front of majority of Arsenal supporters). For every match a team wins, it gets 3 points, for drawing 1 point and for losing 0 points. At the end of 38 matches, the team with highest points wins the league. UEFA Champions League is the club-level tournament for the top teams in Europe. All the club level domestic teams who are in the top 2/3/4 positions from prime leagues across Europe (e.g. Real Madrid, Barcelona from Spain, Manchester Untied,Chelsea, Arsenal from England, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund from Germany etc.) participate in a cup like tournament to be crowned as the best team in Europe! (I didn't write that all, I just copy paste it)
