Is it my expectation OR is something wrong with the WiFi ? i got it yesterday and its 3Mbs but doesnt play live games ....and it downloads movies with a speed of like 100-300kbs ....its kinda lame... is it my expectation being too high and that its really how a 3Mbs WiFi works or should i call for help?
Jul 24, 2020actually network speeds are measured in bits not bytes so u didn't buy 3mega bytes you bought 3 mega bits so that is equivalent to around 350 kilo bytes...so ur getting what u payed for... 3mb is just the access speed you can access a 350kb file in one second that is what that means...so if u want to access 1MByte file in a second you have to buy 8Mbits from tele...if u think about it its a rip off
Jul 25, 2020Bro mine is 1mbps and I can watch live football
Jul 25, 2020Nahhh bruh it's cuz yemjeryaw wer 1mbps ketayu wer lay new ye ante subscription mijemrew ....
Jul 25, 20203Mbps = 375KBps
Jul 25, 20203Mbps and 3MBps are different
Jul 25, 2020maybe i wrote it wrong but what i meant is 3 MB persecond bro...now answer my Q
Jul 25, 2020My man 3MB/S would be what is advertised as 24Mb/s
Jul 25, 2020U mean the one u pay around 1099? well then that is 3mb/s and you should get a download speed that is 1/8th of the actual speed so at maximum u'll get around 400kb/s download speed...and u know some games like pubg have no server in africa so u'll get relatively low ping(lag) so there is ntn wrong with ur wifi as long as u have 300-400kb/s download speed
Jul 25, 2020It is mega bits per second so the speed is divided by 8.
Jul 25, 2020I have a 3Mbps and its your expectation thats high, you cant watch live HD games its not that fast the max speed it will have is 300KBps. To stream an online match will take above 3MBps(mostly a 4G network) but if you know a person with a DSTV account you can watch games on the website with a relatively low resolution but no lags.
