This question goes to medical students and doctors out here. I’m a married woman and the thing is my husband. Before 3 months, skin rush appeared all over his back and thighs, he was itching it all day and night until it became black dot and dry. And now before 2 weeks, I got tested urine and it was fungus. When I asked my doctor about my husband, she said it might be HIV and since I got fungus, she assumed that. Last time we got check was 8 months ago. We do that every year. But this time he said its not year yet, or like its Corona time, we can’t get checked. So what’s the probability of me infected with HIV?

if u got checked 8 mnz ago that's too fast for HIV to cause opportunitistic infections so in my personal opinion i think u having HIV is unlikely..... but u have to get checked to know for sure so get checked immediately coz if u do have an HIV infection its better if u know early

What does fungus in urine mean malet do u have any symptoms before or just they gave it to u cause u went there. And TBH I have never seen anyone taking fungus in u/a at all or even connecting it to AIDS but that could be just me. I would tell u not to freak out and actually go to a dermatologist which will tell you better about it. It could be as small as acne l(black head yebalalu)

I agree with the first answer, but How does your doctor assume HIV if you got checked 8 months back, do u and ur husband have a risk of exposure with HIV patients?

Hello, Am a medical doctor and never heared of a fungus in a urine, anyways it could be simple allergic dermatitis which complicated due to the itch. So do freak out and tell him to go to dermatologist. And if u have suspicion about HIV infection go and get tested urself first, it doesnt have to be together u know.

As I explained to above comment, It was itchy down there and the doctor asked for urine test and it was fungus. To be in a safe side, I would take HIV test because I’m freaking out
