📌 information about radiology for fresh students. 📍In Ethiopia Radiology course is given in 3 basic categories Radiology, Medical Radiology Technology and Radiography 1. Radiology Is a specialization from Medicine after completion of 7 yrs Medicine it is a Specialization where u learn exclusively Radiology for another 2 or 3years. And called Radiologist carrying out Reading of X ray image, CT scan , MRI and Ultrasound and carry out the examinations as well. 2.Medical Radiology Technology Is a BSc course given in AAU,Hawassa,Arbaminch, Mekellle and Africa College a 5 yrs course and thus called a Radiologic Technologist. U can work with X ray, Ultrasound and read the image as well but u just only capture images of CT and MRI excluding reading the images which is for Radiologists And one downside of it is its masters degree hasnt established yet but u can do ur masters in anatomy,physiology etc. 3.Radiography Is a diploma 2 yrs course nowadays given in many places and u will be called Radiographer and ur job will be just to capture x ray images even no reading except in very remote areas where there is shortage of Radiologic labor Its downside is probably u will have more proximity to Radiation relatively than the above two, especially for females much proximity for radiation is not advised.
