There are none positive effects (maybe as 👆🏾 said coolness) but nothing else (esp confidence minamin...a tattoo doesnt make u confident). In Ethiopia modern tattoos were done by ppl that belong to some kind of group with a high objective, fraternity or brotherhood/sisterhood. For e.g. you can find ppl with tattoos that used to be part of the former Ethiopian navy, air force or army...why? B/c it was the 1st Ethiopian defence force that was well organized and well trained. The tattoo was a testament to the hardships faced together, a badge of honor, a symbol of membership. Now think about that a reflect what your tattoo is gonna say about you.
