Hey guys Lately, all I have been reading is that how horrible it is to learn medicine. The Doctors(GP), med students, and everyone else is making me lose all hope that I have for the future. I'm a second year med student. I'm losing all hope and hating myself for deciding to go into this field without really experiencing any of the awful things coming. I really need to hear a better story or I'm going to lose it.

May 22, 2020Hello, I'm 5th year, I felt z same way u r feeling right now on z first 3 yrs, I thought I make z wrong decision, I thought I don't belong here (because I was good on math, numbers), but when I get to clinical yrs my mind have changed. It even gets harder, but u will get z point, u will see ur purpose, u will how u impact peoples life. Yes, enem gena negn gena bzu skay endalew akalew, bzu doctors siamareru aychalew, gn what we do is priceless... May 21, 2020Honey, am gonna be honest with you. Medicine ofc yikebdal obviously. Actually if you think about it almost all field yikebdalu. In all cases you have to study, do assignments,stay up late, wake up in the next morning or even their are times you mat not get any sleep. Thats our life, so i say use this quarantine to make your life easier. Study and make it easier on you when this is all over. Let us all be wise and try to read guys
May 21, 2020All am gonna say is you are lucky you dont know how much i suffered to get med but unlucky me i dont get the chance why do think that happen ?it's not because people tell its irritating to learn med no it's because there was alot of students who wants to join the field. We all hear the same story like why do you want to join medicine it's horrible you will face alot of bad things but u will not get the outcome u work for etc but it aint true you are gonna be a doctor who treat people who save life You get the chance that many of us want so please dont screw it up be the best you can be Be the best doctor .
May 21, 2020Oh, really sorry you're feeling this way. I think we all feel this way at some point, ... esp when we're at clinical years and we've more exposure to seniors. all I can say is be tough, have faith and face the struggle.
May 21, 2020I think the tikur ambesa guy is very lucky, he might be one of the few guys who don't have to work for it, i know some ppl like him too... but for most of us its hard and i felt the same way u re feeling right now when i was in pc1 too like it was the hardest time for me... but it gets better once u get used to it... u start to know the system... it still won't be easy... but that's the beauty of it... forget easy honey whats the fun in that? Think of the satisfaction at the end of the day... btw.. that's what keeps me going.

I'm a 3rd yr med student incase you're wondering... I almost quit medicine not long ago, but yet here I am fighting against the odds and you should too
