They complain because the amount of respect, satisfaction, salary you get from passing all the struggles of medicine is very very ill-proportional. And your life is not yours, and people dont think you have a life either. Everyone says a doctor's work is very satisfactory. But your Bill's wont be paid with satisfaction, your babies diapers wont be bought with satisfaction, putting all that time in you'd expect to not worry about your future you know which should be the case but it's not. Plus it's your job! Saving a person's life is your job. That's what people dont get. You dont go like "oh my God I saved a person's life today" that's what you're suppose to do. I see all this med students saying it's a beautiful thing good for you guys we all were like that. But once you start treating patients you wont have the same mentality. Plus its Ethiopia! People dont have money to buy paracetamol I swear to you it's so sad. Then on top of that there's the government trying to keep you hostage until you're 30-35. Honestly things start looking up after that, because you can decide how to live your life after that but before that you're just the government's puppet doll. They place you anywhere they want. What am saying is this is the picture this is why they complain, not because of the long hour readings not because of the exams honestly, its adulthood that's making them cry. So dear you can pursue medicine, it's a beautiful science just dont expect the world to be a red carpet because you're going to become a doctor. Love it embrace it. And yes it is true when you die you'll have touched a lot of peoples hearts, but it will have costed you your youth
