Oct 04, 2021I was also like you. At the time, I hadn't seen my period for almost four years. So, I went to a doctor and after taking many tests from ultrasound to taking a sample from my thyroid area. And as a result, I was diagnosed with "hyperthyroidism" which basically is the over production of thyroid and it was not just affecting my period but my overall health and the scary part is there are types of hyperthyroid too. There are the less dangerous types and there are the types that can change into a cancer. Mine was thankfully somewhere in the middle not harmless but with a less probability of transformation to cancer. Sorry for the long story, I just wanted to show you it might seem harmless to dismiss health issues as insignificant when the fact is we don't know how these seemingly "insignificant" problems turn into something significant and are no longer reversible. So not only advise you to see a doctor for these issue but even in the future don't take more than a month or two to see a doctor when detecting a health issue even the insignificant ones.
