So i was thinking if anyone would be interseted in being cast for a show called are you the one ethio version. And do you think it would be successful if a show like that got aired in ethiopia. Cause ive already talked to ebs and theyve shown some interest. They want to diversify their audience and they this should would attract a lot of young people.

If you can find dramatic , outspoken young people that wanna be famous thus do stupid but entertaining things like fight over guys etc it would be interesting ... But it might be hard to find ppl like that here cause the society is conservative n they might be scared of being judged by everyone

May 11, 2020Why does it have to be "are you the one?"? Stop coping U.S. shows. 90% of the shows on ebs are copied already. Why don't you be a little creative, gather some ideas, develop it and make something new.
May 11, 2020I don't want to discourage you but I think dating reality show in Ethiopia is going to be a bit hard as most of us are not ppen minded and ready for new experiences. The culture is definitely going to be a challenge.

Most of you are sayong that a show like thos wont work here because of rhe culture barrier but i think things are changing here and this show might just be a steppong stone for that change. Ik the youth are really intrested in these kind of shows and i think they are also well cultured and aware of their identity and this show might help showcase that so all hope is not lost.

The whole purpose of the show is being dramatic, trying everyone like a cloth and all. Which is so against our culture. No person would have the gut to be open about things like that. May 12, 2020Not to crap on your idea but i don't think it will work man. The show has lots of drama, fighting and partially dressed people, and on the last season i think they are also featuring people from the LGBTQ community. I mean I can say it won't be well received cause i can see how my parents react even when a kissing scene comes on TV and im sure lots of people can relate here, and the problem here is even if you mold it to fit our customs you will lose the essence of the show. Plus even if our parents don't come together and burn the ebs studio, which is likely, our society will condemn the actors and actresses you would hire. They would be given very unnecessary labels. People are gonna see it more than a show that's simply there to entertain, more like westerners bilginachewn ametubin neger. So think long and hard before going into this.
