Not an experience but a lesson. Never ever question people on their beliefs (not necessarily religion but anything they hold to be true). For the discussion will turn sour, so one shouldn't question, no matter how silly or logical inconsistent the belief might be. After all, us people think we are our beliefs and to get questioned on that, is to question us. This isn't quite the case, but that's how we function.
